For the 60's, I think "Hair." It was political, it was racial, it was about peace and a generation that rebelled. Also, The Graduate and Planet of the Apes.

My pick for the 70's, Love Story, Poseidon Adventure, The Godfather, and how about something different like I am curious yellow?

Forrest Gump is by far the best 60's era movie I have seen. The Graduate is a good choice, too. The 70's, I don't know, I guess I was too stoned then, to remember.

The movie "Zodiac" about a serial killer in California actually did a very good job of capturing the 1970's. I was a kid during that time and I when I saw the movie, I was impressed at all the little details they got right--the way buses looked, commercials on the television, the kinds of cars people drove, and so on.
