For a lot of Jewish people they do get put in those roles because they not only are Jewish, but they look and talk like a Jewish person. It's the same thing for a Southerner, and a black person, as well as, English, Irish, African, Mexican....so on and so on. Get what I'm saying here. If I was an actress, I'd probably be put in roles for an under educated white female, or because of the colors of my eyes (one brown, one blue) probably some kind of villian.

no, it's probably just a coincidence (or the director thought it would be cool to have a jewish person acting the part of someone jewish [there are many, many jews in show buisness that most people aren't awair they're jewish! here's a list of a few of them for anyone who would like to take a look... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Jewish_American_show_business_figures] )

As the resident Jew on today's 3-11pm shift here on Polls & Surveys let me tell you this: we are everywhere and we are watching you. LOL
It's okay for actors to take whatever roles they see fit. It's not like Jewish actors can't take on a role as a Catholic priest or a nun.
Good question shiksa.

Sorry, but I don't understand your question. Are you trying to say that Jewish people act Jewish? If they are making fun of Jews and they are Jewish, this is only because it's ok to make fun of yourself. e

maybe because their character is jewish? your question makes no sense, the actor doesn't write their role, the writer does, so if the writer wants a jewish guy to yell "I'm a jewish guy," he has to or else he'll get fired. as for pretending not to be jewish, all actors and actresses have to pretend to be something they're not, whether it be a different religion or a different species, idk. btw, if ur trying to be funny, you really failed miserably. pwned

I'm not sure if they are "hated" but they've upset or offended some: Bill Maher, Sacha-Baron Cohen, Woody Allen, Lenny Bruce

I don't remember Adam Sandler portraying his tenets in "Happy Gilmore." Or in "50 First Dates."

Put it this way - most (if not all) of them have gone off the path of Judaism.
They have mostly become traditionalists.
