cos i'm just getting older and becoming more aware that people have always been so miserable

I think it certainly seems as though a lot of people in England are quite unhappy once you scratch the surface. I think there are lots of reasons for this like the break down of communities and people becoming disconnected, rampant consumerism, chasing false dreams, not taking responsibility. Many people seem to believe that happiness is found in material possessions - our number one hobby is shopping.

When I lived there it was a constant strain because people kept breaking into houses. Certain people would beat anyone up that looked at them the wrong way. And the culture is that a lot of kids will stand around drinking and doing drugs for fun on weekends, and then trashing public places...maybe that's why

Well i cant wait to move away england has gone down the pan house prices intrest rates crime the lot need to get my kids as far away as i can. So yes we are un happy because what do the goverment give us to be happy about

I think it is due to you aging cos I live a happy life. Although saying that we do now seem to be one of the worst places to live in Europe these days according to stats.

Yeah, the rubbish weather, the youths who shout insults at everyone, the increasing immigration & taking over of our country by immigrants, the rubbish government that steals loads of our money to buy luxury jaguar limousines etc.

i think more and more people are getting really fed up with the cost of living ,immigration, that is really taking its toll on welfare,heath care, and feeling isolated due to political correctness which leaves them with no say in their own country

I think people had high hopes that things would be better, but all we get is just more materialism and debt.

Our "cultural enrichers" and their dirty yellow curtains are reducing our country to the standards of their own medieval origins.

i agree with you, plus they dont make avengers anymore, or mk1 capris, or hillman imps or cortinas! those were the days... my neighbour had a warthburge do you remember them?
