Since the closing of the amusement parks the recreation for kids has been shifted to the various resorts.
The Holiday Inn Sunspree has programs set up for the children as well as a newly opened "aqualand" water park.
But the good ole beach is still fun.
Gulfworld and Zooland are always fun and the grand Maze keeps them occupied for a time.

Well it really depends on where you stay. If you stay in some rinky dink motel probally nothing but play on the beach and go shopping at Wings. But there is a resort called EdgeWater Resort, I have stayed there for 7 years now for the Fourth of July. This place is awesome! Everyday they have live bands around the pool, hoola hoop contests, limbo contests. They have 4 pools beach side and 12 pools landside. A golf course, arcade, hair salon, banana boats right on the beach, jet skis, parasail. I mean everything for a kid! I know mine absolutely LOVE IT!
