Peace is always the goal. Unfortunately to get there sometimes war is necessary. ex. look at Hitler. What he did in Germany in the late 30s and 40s was ruthless and wrong and was not peaceful by any means. The only way to get eventual peace was to go to war.

War is the ultimate aim to peace in many people's minds but if you study it it does not work. We still do not have peace.
War is not the way to peace but I don't know what is.

Wars are the way humans trim the harvest of youngsters. When mother nature permits nations to flourish they end up wanting more than they have and attack weaker countries or in our case try to help oppressed people, like those in Iraq.
