They can become pregnant (not advisable of course), but there are studies that show serious fertility issues. Go to http://www.pubmed.com and do a search for TCH fertility and you'll see a lot of them. It's been shown to have an effect of reducing ovulation, causing women who smoke 3 times weekly to have a higher chance of not ovulating (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=pubmed&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=12281277&ordinalpos=15&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum)

Also, if the guy is smoking it can have an effect on his ability to produce sperm, their ability to find the egg, and their ability to fertilize the egg should they find it.

In rats, male offspring of rats given THC (active drug in pot) have decreased fertility. The grandchildren of those pot-influenced rats also have reduced fertility.

If you're trying to get pregnant, you should BOTH stop smoking pot. That's a big old 'duh', but if you're having troubles getting pregnant, this could be why. The effects can last up to SIX MONTHS. So be patient.

Yes you can still become pregnant if you smoke weed. In fact I know a lot of women you continued to smoke during pregnancy to help with morning sickness. It does effect a man's sperm count though...

Not to say that I was a regular smoker, but I got high occasionally, and now I'm 21 weeks pregnant! And my boyfriend is a HABITUAL smoker, but takes out all the seeds, which is what lowers their sperm count. But I don't think the herb does anything to the feamle reproductive parts.

LMAO no weed is not a contraceptive. You can be as stoned as Ozzy in the 60's and still get pregnant.

Sure they can, but why smoke something that can effect your memory? A brain is a terrible thing to waste.

I have never heard that before... But I do know that it causes a higher incedence of birth defects and low birth weight, in babies conceived by a mother who habitually uses marijuana!!!
