I wouldn't use limeware, you could get a virus. The way I look at it is if you can't afford music why invest money in an iPod? Never sync your ipod when using multiple computers. Just click and drag. Your friend can authorize your computer to access her downloads. But lets say that doesn't work, if you really want to transfer your friends music on to your iPod I suggest downloading WINAMP music media software. Using that, sort through the music and deceiver the code to find the particular music tracks you're looking for. Its a long process, but if you're goning be using your iPod I suggest learning how it functions, especially the software.

Your friend can authorize up to 5 other computers to have the music he/she paid for.

Then you can use is as you wish for free - on iPod, make Cd etc.. Copy the song from your friends computer to your computer, when you go to play it - iTunes will pop up with an authorization window. She types in her iTunes username/password and your all set. You can "take" as many of her songs as you want them.

yes, ipods have to use the itunes program, but as long as you have the song on yours or her computer, you can put it on as many ipods as you like.
