I went through the same thing and I had the colposcopy done, its just so they can get a closer look at what is causing the abnormal paps. It took me about 2 years of treatments of hormons to get back to normal and I am still able to have children. Just bring up your concerns with your doctor.

Relax. For the majority of women, abnormal Pap smears do not confirm a diagnosis of true cervical cancer. Pap tests do, however, indicate the presence of changes in cervical cells, which, if untreated, over time could become cancerous. BUT it could just be a inflammation or something of the sort. Just take it easy a lot of the times it's just a false alarm.

Twice I've had abnormal paps. The following ones were always clear. Sometimes something happens that causes an abnormal smear, but there's nothing that's acutally wrong.

this is customary to have some cramping or maybe bleeding after a pap. i'm sorry it harm so badly, besides the shown fact that it ought to have been because you have been so worried and annoying. The discomfort on your abdomen must be from the scraping of your cervix, plus, your abdomen muscle mass have been given quite cramped. Please do no longer permit this make your next examination something you dread. It does get extra suitable. in case you have any questions, you could call the nurse at your docs and communicate to them to ease your suggestions.

ofcourse you will still be able to have kids, they will do a procedure that will freeze the precancerous cells, and the procedure is fairly simple. althought one of the risks of the freezing is scarring the tissue, which might make it harder to get pregnant, but it should not worry you.

your pap could come back abnormal if you had it done close to time for your period.

im not really sure what to tell you but if you cant have kids you can still adopt, i know its not the same but im sure you rather be ok now and adopt a kid latter, then let it go and have a kid then get sick and not see him/her grow up.
