Simply because she appeals to your senses, as well as your hormones. She's your cousin, man. No one can stop you from fantasizing about her if you can't help it, though. But it'd be best if you behave, realize that she IS related to you, and don't do anything foolish. I don't know where such a social norm originated, but it seems that it could've been based on the the obeserved situtation where a lot of the offsprings of couples related by blood are those with down syndrome. In other countries, it is perfectly fine to marry a first cousin, even. Some even get to marry their daughters. How sick this all can be depends on the type of person you are.

It may seem weird but it happens.
When I was like 11, I had a small crush on my cousin because I just thought he was cute. It never occured to me that he was my cousin. As we grew older, he was just a cute cousin and that was it. You can feel that way and thats natural, but because of the cicumstances, its best not to pursue it.

My cousin is hot and we were raised together. Even though he is a distant cousin and there is no blood between us because I was adopted...He's still family and you don't go to a family reunion to find a date...Not a hard one to figure out. Your cousin is off limits to you.

Nothing, it's my cousin its wrong and incest.
I don't see me ever seeing any of my relations in that way.
I mean I think my nephew's a good looking guy and my nieces are too but purely in the platonic way and doting aunt way. Hope my kids will be as good looking as they are.

You should get married. You won't even have to change your monograms. You were made for each other. Don't listen to these tightassed prudes who babble about "family". Everybody wants to build a family. You already have one. They're just jealous. I hope you have lots and lots of babies.

I think that it is legal in all 50 states to marry your first cousin. However, probably not at all moral. Your choice though.
