So I got my girlfriend pregnant and now she wants me to marry her just for the kid, but I dont wanna so she says she will get me in jail til I agree...can she do this?

It is not illegal to get someone pregnant, so you will not be going to jail just for not marrying her. If she is underage, then you have a different story. Also, be prepared to start paying some of the bills or child support, if you do not, then legal action can be taken as well.
And from now on, WRAP IT UP!!!

You don't need to marry her, and shouldn't if you don't love her in that way. Can she have you put in jail? Depends on what she knows about you that the law doesn't. If your clean it would be best to stay the hell away from her, so long as she talks this way. If your ever around her alone she can Waite for you to leave slap herself, or put other marks on her body, call the police and blame you for it. So stay clear, be around people if your near her, and have an alibi for where you are.
Are you sure she's pregnant? Could she be lying about it?

If your both over 18 no she cannot put you in jail. No one should marry for a child (although you should of thought of that before getting involved). If she has the child provide for the child and be in the child life. If you both minors she still cannot put you in jail. Dont let he scare you.

First part: No she can't put you in jail unless you forced sex on her.
Second part: Why the F**K did you make a baby if your not man enough to stick around to do the right thing and raise it.

No, definatly not but she can put you on child support if the DNA testing indicates you are the father of this child. THe worst thing you can do is marry her for the sake of the child alot of times that why marriages dont last one party wasnt fully comitted to the idea of marriage. I will say this dont be a dead beat dad if the child is yours.

If you have the choice,Take the jail term cause marriage is forever and sooner or later they get tired of feeding you in jail.Jails are now over crowded,have you ever heard of a marriage being over crowded?

If you broke the law somehow, and she knows about it, yes, she can turn you in and put you in jail. but she can't get you sent to jail for not wanting to marry her.

not because you don't want to marry her but you need to be responsible for your actions and take care of your child (which I hope really is yours). Just be responsible. Don't marry her if thats not what you want. she can't throw you in jail for that. it's going to have to be for a different reason

All these people saying you will have top pay child support..that is ONLY if paternity is proven.
You will have to AGREE to a paternity tesat or be order by the court..it is not cheap for the test..so tell the girl SHE has to pay for any paternity tests.

She can get you put in jail only if she is under the age of consent, as determined by the laws in the state where you live.
