yeah, if they had just said the thing i wouldn't get that upset, but when they say, "nothing personal, didn't mean to offend you, don't take it seriously" it ticks me off right there.

Especially when they go out of the way and end up patronizing you when insulting you would be less insulting.

Yeah, because you know they are thinking that it is gonna be an insult anyway... so why even bother? Some people are just freakin' mean.
