I dont quite understand this question.

Use the indicated property to write an expression that is equivalent to the following expression.

(A + B) + C = A + (B + C)

Applying it to (7 + 11) + 2 you can rewrite it as 7 + (11 + 2)

i think you would do 7+(11+2) im pretty sure all that means is that you rearrange the numbers and the sum is still the same.

add the terms in the parathesis so you get 18....(18)+2.Than add to and than you get 20.
