I understand that death eaters like 'pure bloods'.
but they also dislike non-wizard creatures (werewolves, vampires, centurs, ect)

how did voldemorte explain working with non-wizard creatures when he first began to gain power?

I'm kind of confused if they don't really have an issue with non-human wizards, why do they dislike half-breeds?

I don't think pure-bloods have shown any dislike towards non-wizard creatures, specifically. Greyback the werewolf is actually allied with Voldemort, and the Death Eaters seem to fight beside him without a problem.

They haven't outwardly shown hatred towards centaurs in the books, but I wouldn't imagine that they would ally with them because centaurs' hatred of humans is very strong.

We have only seen one vampire in the novel, at Slughorn's party. There is no evidence that Death Eaters hate them.

Death Eaters DO hate:
People who love muggles, despite blood purity... The Weasley family and Dumbledore fall into this category.

Half-Breeds - Like Hagrid, although Hagrid is also a lover of muggles.

Death Eaters believe in the purity of blood, which is why Voldemort is in a very precarious position... When Harry told Bellatrix Lestrange that Voldemort was only half-blood, Bellatrix called Harry a liar... Voldemort is keeping his half-bloodedness a secret.

In fact, I think R.A.B., when he wrote "I have discovered your secret" is not talking about horcruxes at all, but talking about discovering Voldemort's half-bloodedness. I think R.A.B. is Regulus Black, a family that revels in their pure-blood history, and would hate finding out that Voldemort was half-blood.

In terms of allying with Giants and Werewolves, I think Voldemort would have told the Death Eaters that they were in control of the other species, and that it wasn't showing favoritism by having them join, it's just a necessity to have allies.

Hope that answers your question!

The Death Eaters act like a bunch of racists/hypocrites, they call themselves pure bloods, actually, some of them, like Voldemort, don't have pure blood themselves. They (some of them) also look down on non humans but I think they'll work with the bad creatures to hurt Muggles, among others, some of the books mention deals like the Dementors getting permission to give the kiss to people in return for helping them and releasing the people in Azkaban. The Death Eaters are afraid of Voldemort and are going to follow him (no need for explanations). And the "bad" magical creatures are willing to help and support Voldemort because it means they can do anything, without fear of being punished by the Ministry, which does treat them badly in some ways too. They do know that some of the creatures are powerful, and not having an alliance with them, when it's going to be beneficial to both, would have been sort of pointless. Even though they probably would have helped the Death Eaters indirectly. I don't think the Death Eaters really have many problems about using magical creatures. Using.

I never heard that the don't like working with non magic creatures. They tried to get the giants and the werewolves before the order could. What I am wondering is, do the death eaters know that Voldemort is half blood? I am guessing Snape does.

Well Im not quite sure this is the right answer but Im pretty sure Voldemort or at least Dumbledore explains Voldermort's involvement with non-wizard creatures when he first begins to gain power by saying that those creatures were used as scare tactics against other powerful wizards whom Voldemort could not readily fight himself. Thus, he hires non-wizard creatures like Fenrir Greyback the werewolf in order to have him and his coven take care of other powerful wizards who, were animagi and could give him and the death-eaters more trouble than they were willing to handle.

Well, to begin with, Voldemort is not a pure-blood, his father was a Muggle. Voldemort is after immortality and power and pretty obviously will use any tool that will come to his hand.

The Deatheaters are the jackals following the lion and will put up with anything their leader does out of a combination of love of power and fear of Voldemort.

no one ever said they don't like werewolves etc. and also voldemort wouldn't have to explain, he's the one in charge. Also using werewolves and giants are good because they are scary.

Well Hitler didn't like non-Germans either did he, but that didn't stop him from forming an Alliance w/Italy. Deep down he had plans for after the war for them, but knew he couldn't build his power alone, I think that's what is going on here.
