I work in an office and people were talking about users not being able to hear audio if their on a "brick". I have no idea what that is.

Another term I didn't know was "keyos". I'm prbably spelling that wrong.

Can anyone explain these to me so I don't look stupid next time these come up? haha.

Thanks!!

Two definitions I know for "brick" don't seem to apply in the context you are asking.

Brick #1 - A dead or obsolete computer that essentially is a big paper weight.
Brick #2 - An external enclosure generally holding a large amount of hard drive space

As for the other term, do you mean Kiosk? If so, that is a computer in a common access location similar to an information terminal or a self purchase terminal. In some work environments, a kiosk could refer to a shared computer for multiple people. This is common on manufacturing plants where employees only occasionally need computer access.

I can relate. I am Jewish, and never felt this way growing up, and go thought phases, but lately, I am hesitant to be very open about being Jewish. It actually sounds to me like the same feeling. I don't know why it is. I have never lived in a place where I felt terrible anti-Semitism, but I just don't come out and scream it. I don't wear my Jewish jewelry, generally, either, unless I'm going to a function at schul. There is nothing degrading, or negative about the word, unless you lump us all together and say they all....just as with any group. Interestingly, Judaism is more diverse in terms of what people do, observe, which customs are adhered to or eschewed, than almost any other group of people. We are from different countries all over the world, and our customs vary at home, according to our individual backgrounds, and at schul, according to the agreed upon/dictated by rabbi/denomination customs. In any case the reason you are hesitant to use the word, itself, is because it is a label, and in this climate of political correctness, we are all hesitant to use any labels for people, for fear that we are going to step on someone's toes.

Please give me a thumbs down and subtract points and ignore this response and forgive me, but I'm having a really discouraging day and a brick is what I'm about to throw through my computer monitor after having re-installed anti-virus and router three times.

It's used to describe an external power supply I think, at least when describing xbox360.
