When you do start...don't try to ignore it and not tell anyone, (i did for one day and couldn't take it anymore...) I told my mom..."mom, i started my period today>" plain and simple...she was so happy i had entered womanhood and wasn't mad or nervous or anything! You shouldn't feel obligated to tell your dad though...your mom will probably tell him...so don't worry, its no big deal! =D
ciao for now,
tara =D

Sweetie, no need to be scared! This is a natural normal thing. Your dad knows all about periods. It's more like embarrassment.

Just tell your mom and let her handle telling your dad.

There is nothing to be afraid of. Just go to you mom when it happens and tell her. You have to tell her because she would be really upset if you would hide it from her. you don't have to tell you dad, you mom could do it for you or just not tell him t all. Your mom would understand because she went through it too.

It will be alright your mom will understand, all women do. Your Dad it might be a little embarassing but you have to look at it, as your a growning up and you will always be Daddy's little girl, but if you not confortable I am sure your mom will tell him. Don't be scared it is a natural thing...

Don't worry about it,just tell your mom and she'll tell your dad probably for you, I know it's really kinda embrassing to think that you're dad will know,but he married a woman so he knows all about it, and he knows that one day you'll get it too, Just tell your mom she had it at one time too and it's nothing to be shy about.

There is nothing to be scared about...Your mom has had it before so she knows what to expect with you having ur period. Just sit down with her and tell her that you started. Its a natural woman thing..Good Luck!

you don't have to tell your dad, but your mom definently...she will be so happy for you, you might even get a present or a special dinner or even a shopping trip
you could have your mom tell your dad but my dad acted really wierd around me when he found out so i would just not tell him he knows it will eventually happen or hell have to make an errand some day, plus your attitude will make him wonder cause youll be cranky during it trust me

I know it seems like a big deal now. But years from now it will be no big deal. But you need to tell you mom once you get it. As for your dad.... get your mom to tell him if you are too uncomfertable to tell him yourself.
