I just think that after a bit people should just treat the family of the tragedy normal. There is nothing that can be said that they ha vent heard, so they should be left alone about what has happened.

Acquaintences probably dont realize it has been 5 years....when something is so haunting or tragic that it is the first thing you remember when you see someone it doesnt ever seem like it was more than a year ago.....and lots of ppl do want to talk about it, over and over again. I think you are overly sensitve and expecting people to read your mind.... a simple thanks for your concern but I dont like to discuss it, is enough.... or just ask for a prayer and change the subject.....

Everyone is different and while some people are just nosy, others, the majority, are concerned and are just trying to be nice. Accept their questions as an expression of love and caring for you, and let it be.
