If you want to know the size of your word documents in a folder, then you just do a left click on views on the main task bar then choose details, it will shows you the size of all documents in that folder.

After you open the program, press CTRL+ALT+DEL, then goto Task Manager, Process tab. You should be able to see WinWord on the list, and the memory it uses

With document open - file/properties/general tab.

You can right-click on the file and click properties. It will tell you how much space it takes and how much it will take on a disk such as a USB key.
