Supposedly he is going to run as an "outsider" What a stinking joke.
I found out some very interesting things about Mr. Thompson yesterday and I must say, I am very disappointed in him.
He is no "outsider" before he became a Senator and after he left office, he was one of those vermin- a "K' Street Lobbyist. He was a lobbyist for 19 years before he joined the Senate and went back to being a lobbyist after he left the Senate although you would have been under the mistaken impression he had just gone back to his acting career
He had been driving his fancy cars for years but when he ran for office, his staff rented a beat up pick up truck and had chewing tobacco readily visible on the seat. Props, just props. Not to mention his latest prop- the wife who just happens to be 4 years older than his oldest daughter.
We don't need an actor to "play" the part of President- we need one.

He's ok. Basically, his voting record is identical to McCain's, and it looks like McCain may drop out soon. So, probably we're looking at McCain II, without the temper but with less experience.

I think he's the neocon solution, since that it's obvious that Giuliani isn't going to win.

I think he has flip-flopped on any issue you name.

I think he's a war monger.

I think the country I love is done.

I think he makes a very weak candidate -- his name recognition will serve him well but his record will scare off moderates of both parties and his lack of real political experience will doom his candidacy.
