Relax a trip to the gyno isn't the end of the world... The nurse/nurse's assistant will have you disrobe usually pants/underwear and wear a gown.

You will get onto a table w/ stir-ups and you'll probably be asked when your last period was...So, remember it and write it down....

He/she will have a speculum sometime plastic/sometimes metal.... It's a device that opens the vaginal- It's going to be uncomfortable, but it's important to relax or it will be more painful... They may take a swab of your cervex with a long q-tip device... It may feel kinda rough, it's to test your cells... You also may bleed a little that's normal.... Sometimes they may also check your rectum...They use lubricant...It's slightly uncomfortable....Also, you might be shown how to do a breast exam...Doesn't hurt at all.... That's about all they do...Good luck

are u going for a pap? like the others said u strip down in a paper gown, put ur feet on the stirrups, ur butt at the end nof the table, legs apart, and all that. during the procedure they ask if u r ok, so it wont hurt. they wil do a breast exam and push around on ur stomach, also asking if it hurts. u will be ok. some women find it painful the next day after they swab ur cervix.

not fun, but you'll live through it. you strip down and put on a paper gown. you lay back and put your feet up in the air in stirrups. your butt is right on the edge of the table. the doctor puts a speculum in you, which is usually cold at first and swabs your inner lining of the vaginal wall. he'll also probe your belly area and ask does that hurt? he might also check your breasts for lumps or irregularities. don't worry, it doesn't take long.

I did coach the older one a thank you to wind the swing, I nevertheless conceal from the youngsters everday, and my mom had a rule. do no longer undertaking until there is blood, and on condition that that is extra suitable than 1 / 4 cup!! (The difficult section is getting them to bleed in a cup!) like it! LOL!! -Mel

well, they ask u questions about ur sexual history; ask u when ur last period was; they do a pelvic exam which includes a speculum inserted into the vagina to take a look around they also insert their fingers and apply pressure on teh abdomen to feel structures inside-
minimally uncomfortable but it only lasts a few min
