Bill Gates is a genius, but like many geniuses he fails to recognize his limitations. He has tried to dominate the software industry with software that dominates users. How many of us hate Word's Autocorrect function? I've tracked it down and turned it off several times, but it always comes back.
At one time, Gates' goal was to put a PC on every desktop. He's done that (thank you, Bill), but now he's just getting in the way of further progress.
The future belongs to open-source software like Linux, Apache, MySql, and Perl.
