Thinking you are better than people around you.

2007-06-14 08:21:16 · answer #1 · answered by Mrs. Maintenance 4 · 0 0

An uncomfortable feeling that one is superior to those around him, coupled with enough convincing evidence to support a conclusion. Not being fully convinced, he avidly collects more and more data, but is still not more than uncomfortably leaning toward the conclusion.

The inevitable gives rise to certain decisions a superior person must make, whether to be of service to those around him while pretending to be as the rest, or move on.
At any rate, this person can no longer go on as before, imagining that he is as the others.

A superiority complex is feeling that you are very superior to, or very better than, those around you. An inferiority complex is feeling that you are very inferior to, or worse than, those around you.

That's how I understand it. It is usually referred to as a complex when the thoughts (of superiority or inferiority) are obsessive or beyond the norm. I personally think it is a symptom of an inflated sense of self-importance and an Ego out of control.

thinking that you are somehow better than other pple, but in reality you really feel bad about yourself. These are the type of pple who are condescending, They try and compensate for how they feel by projecting onto you.

So, someone who feels that having money or having jewelry somehow makes them better than you really feels like if they had to part with these things they wouldn't feel comfortable in their own skin and usually has low self-esteem.

A superiority complex is someone who truly believes they are better, smarter and superior to everyone else. They are pretty easy to spot because you can't miss their big egos.
