That's not a real or meaningful distinction. There is objective, physical reality. Sometimes your mind correctly observes and perceives it, sometimes it does not. Your mind is capable if creating ideas, concepts, and scenarios in complete isolation from physical reality. That doesn't make those concepts real or true. It's the essence of creativity. It's useful if it helps you solve a problem, create a product, or develop a theory. It's entertaining if it helps you write a story.

God is an entirely different matter. His existence and nature are also objective reality, but not physical. They don't depend on human beliefs. A scientific background and attitude can help you understand what the Bible really says about God (rather than what people say), but science can't prove or disprove God.

A serious answer would be that the concept you are talking about is called dualism and is quite refuted by modern neurology. We are beginning to understand how the material gives rise to thought. Think of this computer you are on; how does it, silicone, give rise to information? By combinatorial, computational and recursive processes. The computer is an analogy for the mind, but it is not that bad of an analogy. Psychologist used to say, " computers will never recognize voices or faces "; they were wrong. Look into the work of Antonio Damasio; his book, " Descartes Error " will illuminate you on this subject.
