Being fired is just another step in your life. Most everybody gets fired at some point of their career. My mom used to say, "Everything that happens, happens for the best...you might not realize it at the time, but later you will see that it was."
She was right too... I had a job for 23 years, and got fired. At first, I was devastitated over losing my job. I applied for unemployment Insurance, and the woman told me that if I had medical problems, which I did, that I could sign up for disability Insurance. They sent me to three different Drs, and I was examined, and determined that I was indeed disabled.
One Dr. said that I could never work again, so now, I am getting disability, and it is about half as much as I was making at my job..... But, ..... I don't have to drive 50 miles a day, in all kinds of weather, and put in 8 hours for a mean boss.
So...by me getting fired, it enabled me to find a better life. I now have time to spend with my family. I was just a few months away from retiring anyway, so it didn't matter about trying to look for another job.
I am retired now, and can't work, so maybe my mom was right....that it was the best thing that could happen to me.
I'm sure that you can find another job real soon...good luck.

It depends WHY I was fired. If it was something within my power to control, like arriving on time, or taking fewer days off, the blame would be on me.

If I were fired unjustly, I would feel bad for a day, then pick myself back up and get out in the trenches until I found a job that made the last one seem like a total waste of my time.
The best revenge is to have a happy successful life. You're at the wheel, so steer yourself in a better direction.

It's normal to feel bad.

However, is there a lesson you could learn here... Maybe you were working at a job that didn't suit you, and getting fired is an opportunity for you to find an even better job.

Or maybe you made some mistakes; that's okay, everybody does. In this case, figure out how you can improve in those areas, so you won't get fired again.

Good Luck and God Bless.

I was fired in February...I was really surprised, but I'm ok now. Drawing unemployment, and looking for job. I had worked there for 6 years. Check into your unemployment.

I would thank the GOD for letting me out of hands of that idiot boss (idiot because he fired me) and letting me have a great opportunity for a fresh start. Fired from the job? feel free to say bad about your superior and search for a new job. ENJOY IT!!!!

Sorry to hear that :-( the only good thing about the situation is that you can now draw unemployment while you look for a new job =)

It would depend on why I was fired. Did I deserve it or not? Take a long look at yourself and answer that question.

I would feel like crap but I would take everyone down with me. You should have dirt on everybody in the office.

Sorry to hear about it, there is a better job for you out there. Keep your head up.
