"Character"? Thems mighty strong words…
I'll bet there are all kinds of "characters" running amuck in the capital even as we speak.
Seems that the true "character" of political life in the capital can be summed up in just one word: ME.
Not many worth while politicians lately. A bunch of worms and spineless wind bags.
What I'd love to say here is that all the spineless windbags where on the left side of the Aisle. However, there seem to be an enormous amount of money grubbing rats on the right side as well.
Our Founding Father's would be proud.

Darlin', there ain't been no character in Washington for a long time. Well, ceptin' maybe Bill Clinton. He was a helluva character and gave a new meaning to late night talk shows and comedy skits. Now thats character!
