I just found a tiny frog outside. I don't live in an area that would have frogs around here. It's too tiny like the size of little marble. I think it may have eaten some ants. Anyways...help! Should I put it back?

To your question about putting it back. Yes you should. If he is there then obviously there are frogs around somewhere. And he does know how to take care of himself but If you really want to keep him you might as well learn all you can. You can buy itsy bitsy crickets at pet stores. Ask to see the smallest they have and see if it looks like he can eat them. Is it a tree frog? Here are some good care sheets. And its a good forum site too! find out what kind it is so you can get all the info you need. Good luck!

I would try and find out what kind of frog it is before you decide if you are going to keep it. Look on line under amfebians in your location. And see if you can find a care sheets for him.

Also If you have a pet co or pets mart near your home look for flightless fruit flies. Frogs favored food! You can also get them on line. Plus the container they come in they will breed for a while producing more feeders for your little guy. =) Good Luck!

I would suggest putting it back and leaving it alone. It may be a threatened or endangered species, or your state may have laws restricting the collection of certain wild frogs.

"Before collecting wild animals, you should contact your state wildlife agency to make sure your activities are legal. Although collecting a few live frogs for personal use is legal in most states, some states have restrictions on the numbers, species, seasons, and locations for collecting frogs. It is illegal to disturb any threatened or endangered species."

What you need to do is get a 10gallon tank for now and place half land and half water. Place the tadpoles in the same 10gallon tank with the little frog. Feed them fruit flies, then move to different insects when it grows bigger. They love different choices. Tadpoles should be fed fish flakes...thats what I fed mine.(Just so you know) Tell your son Good Luck!

If you found it outside, it'll survive outside. Depending on what species it is, it may even be illegal for you to keep it.

Put it back where you found it, its food is probably too small for you to catch or buy, it is easiest for it to find its own food on its own.
