For an everyday potato chip, the best is Cumberland Farms, but you can only find them in the Northeast because Cumberland Farms is a Massachusetts company (I think.) Their BBQ chips are good, too.
Nationally, a nice specialty chip is Terra blue potato chips. Less fat than others, but the thickness makes them good and blue potatoes do cook well. A bit pricey, though.
