The tests you took at home may have been more sensitive than the test at the drs office. You will need to wait and let the pregnancy hormone build up a bit more so their test can detect it. Or, call and ask for a blood test, they cost more but you will know for sure in a matter of hours.

You are pregnant. There are several reasons that you would test positive at home but negative at a clinic. The most popular reasons are 1. you didn't have enough pregnancy hormones left in your urine to turn the test positive or 2. the test at the clinic just wasn't as sensitive as the tests you took at home. All pregnancy tests have different sensitive readings which is why some can show positive readings before others.

If I remember right if the test says positive then it is definitely positive. However, if it is negative there is still a chance of being pregnant. So whoever said a "false" positive is wrong. (sorry!!) But you should wait a week and go back to the clinic. I would say you are...unless you are reading the test wrong? Positive is positive though. Congrats!

You are pregnant. That happened to me to. I took 2 test at home and they came out positive, than I took one at doctors clinic and it was negative. I ask them to do blood test and next day they confirm that I was pregnant. Happy for you.

Was it a Blood Test that was Negative? I took 5 HPT's and they were all SOOO FAINT! Even My Husband couldnt see them only me! I went to the Clinic to get blood work the next day and it was inconclusive....So they had me come back 72 hours later and it was positive! Good Luck!

Did they do a blood test or a piss test at the clinic? That's the main question because pee tests at clinics are basically taking a stick from EPT and throwing it in the pee.

I would think that you are pregnant. Did they do a blood test at the clinic or a urine? I'm assuming that maybe they did a urine. My guess is that maybe their test are not early response ones and did not detect the low amount of hormones you have. It is also possible that your hormone levels dropped, which may indicate a problem, which has happened to me.

Made and ultrasound appt.
