If you set up your email correctly, delete should send it to a "deleted" folder where it sits until you mass delete it out of the "deleted" folder, although some email clients default to deleting it for real.

obviously if it's still in the trash then yes, if it's from an isp e-mail account there may be some way if you call your isp. if it's a web-based e-mail no. good rule is just never delete any e-mails. (isn't that why people use Gmail?)
