use an Ethernet cable from modem to the uplink port on the router

Connect the wireless router to the cable modem with a CAT 5 cable. Check the back of the router, the connection ports should be different colors. Connect the modem to the one that has only one of a color (there will be one of one color and several of another color). Your wireless router will need to be configured properly to work. Do you have a software disk that came with it?

just plug it in
power off both
plug in cable to modem
cont modem to router with rj-45 cable
power up modem
wait for lights
power up router
your done
