I used to be a very angry person all the time. Had issues I was going through that I just couldn't see past. But I realized one day that I was balming everyone else for my problems. I started meditating and looking at myself in a knew light. One thing I can say (and it may not be the answer for eveyone) is that when I was younger, I would listen to metal and musice with very angry lyrics, think that it was a way to release my anger. Then I realized one day that it would just make things worse. So I started listening to upbeat, happy music when I was upset. It took my mind off of things and that helped alot. Another issue was that I blew things too out of proportion. Mediating and getting good sleep helped with that. Sometimes it was a matter of setting the problem aside long enough for me to cool down and say 'This is why I'm upset. Is this reasonable? If not, let it go. If so, then what can I do to fix it?' Exercise is good as well. I've found that focusing my life on healthy eating and exercise has given me a better outlook on life as well as balancing out hormones (which can be a very big cause for anger and depression in alot of folks). I hope this helps a little bit. :)
