Probably because it wasn't life-like enough.

Perhaps the Michael J. Fox string puppet would have been more marketable, since you'd have that entire body movement thing going.

I would IMAGINE because Michael J. Fox suffers from PARKINSONS disease which makes his muscles uncontrollable and makes his arms and legs twitch and his head shakes a lot in a BOBBLE type fashion... Maybe people thought you were making fun of him and he is a very well liked actor... people genuinely feel sorry for him and his struggle with this horrible illness (which also affects Mohamad Ali so don't make a bobble head doll of HIM either)....

Why not a John Wayne Bobbit doll.
It could still be considered a bobble head, right?

You might also try telling customers that a portion of all sales from the doll go to a Parkinsons foundation...this may encourage them into buying, because its going to a good cause furthered by a wonderful actor and person.

Good luck!

I don't know, maybe because your dolls are making fun of someone, even if unintentionally. Parkinson's Disease is no laughing matter and maybe you should have considered his and many others plight before you launched a doll that imitates a person with a serious disease. Michael J. Fox is a good man, a good husband and a good father.

Beats me...all I can do is,shake my head.
I am certain that Michael would love that doll.
Especially if all proceeds go to his Parkinson's foundation
