I live at home with my mother, sister, and brother ... me and my mother both like the air conditioning (my brother doesnt care either way)... and my sister REFUSES to put it on or have it on while she is at home - even if it is 100 degrees outside!
her excuse is " I'm in air conditioning all day at work .. when i get home i just want to be warm and feel the breeze " (even though there is no breeze only HEAT!
and if your wondering why i wont just put it on anyway - its because shes CRAZY and if its on she will open every window in the house and yell and scream - and even literally fight with me if she has to!
SOMEONE HELP! IF YOU CAN!
I mean imagine it being 100 degrees outside and you cant turn on the air!!!! - also she pays all the utilities - and so i told her I would personally pay the air bill if she lets me put it on ... but she says its not about that! - she said no matter who pays it - she doesnt care - she just wants the heat!
fyi - i am 20 - shes 25

ohh - also my mother has tried yelling at her about it - but she goes crazy - and so my mom just leaves her alone

Get a job and move out? :)
Maybe get an AC for your bedroom??? One that fits in the window? You could keep your door closed.

First of all, is it your sister's house? If it's not her house, it doesn't matter that she pays all of the utilities. I am assuming that if it isn't your sister's house, it is your mother's and your mother doesn't have to stand for the way your sister is acting.
You ALL are living in that house together and there needs to be SOME compromise. Amongst the four of you, she is in the minority with regards to having the a/c on. I think it is ridiculous that she has the upper hand in this matter. Stand up to her, all three of you. Just try to do it in as civil a manner as possible. You don't want her feeling like she's being attacked.

Honestly i kinda understand what she is saying. BUT i don't think it should her way or the highway...i think you guys should comprimise. HAlf the time leave it on...then turn it off..do it half half..Also, if she hates it soooo much, she should go sit outside and feel the breeze. Good luck
And don't listen to those people who are saying move out. Just proves what kind of people they are. Move out because you disagree on air conditioning!! WOW what has the world come to!!
