Ahh man, Star Wars is the best!! I watched all SIX in order in ONE day; that was a little too much though. I've watched most of the movies at least 5 times. I also read as many books as I can get my hands on. I have almost every Lego set that Star Wars ever put out and have collected thousands upon thousands of pictures, videos, cursors, icons, you name it over the years. I first watched Star Wars when I was 10. Loved it ever since! Have fish named Anakin, Skywalker, Ben, Padme, etc. Named my bird Ariel Maria Skywalker. I participate (somewhat) in the force.net boards which are wonderful by the way. Their roleplaying is SO cool! On most websites I'm known by Jedi_Sith or Ariella Maria Cordova Y'sanne, both of which I'm a Padawan. Anyway, I LOVE STAR WARS!!!

Man... the person who said Star Wars has no storyline has got to be...impaired. Star Wars has the greatest storyline I've ever heard of...it blows me away! There are no other movies like it... And I just find myself wanting to know more! I want to know Qui-gon's past, what happened in between episodes three and four, and details about how Luke trained and restored the Jedi and what the New Republic was like. I am such a huge Star Wars fan! But not huge enough of a fan to read the novels, because there are WAY too many of them and I don't even know what order they go in, chronologically...and plus I only want to know what I listed that I wanted to know, not all the extra stuff. I'm still a huge fan, but much to learn I still have! (I also have a Star Wars collection... ha)

The first movie is a perfect example of the "Hero's Journey" which is the template for writing any good story. That is why it is so popular-it captured the imagination of the masses. No matter who you are or where you come from the elements are the same. Hero check. Villan check. Problem only hero can solve check. Cast of extras like the Guardian etc on and on it goes. Dont get me wrong I'm not obsessed or anything. I've never read the books or have any collectable stuff thats my bf's dept. But the lego stars wars game for xbox is awesome.

It's the greatest series of movies ever. It still has an international following after 30 years. Just Google Star Wars sometime and it will give you a good idea of how many people love this movie.

I saw it something like 17 times when it came out in 1977. Had the action figues & toys. Bought the VHS tapes of the first 3 movies. Went to the theatrical re-release in 1997(?). Bought the enhanced DVD set. Stood in line at 7:00 am for the premeire of the Phantom Menace in 1999. So yeah, I guess I'm a fan (and a big ol' dork).

I do love Star Wars quite a bit. It was a wonderful combination of the fantasy that I love, the technology that I work with, and the sword fighting that has always fascinated me. I've read nearly all of the Expanded Universe books and can recall events and characters with almost flawless detail.
May the Force be with you.

Mara Jade is Lukes wife in the later novels. Before that she used to be a smuggler I believe...it's been a while since I've read any of the books with her in them. But hey, I love the books just as much as I love the movies.
