Have you read this book? If so, what did you think of it? Is it worth my spending $7?

Incidentally, I posted this question in the Religion and Spirituality section and asked them not to respond if they hadn't read it. Almost everyone ignored this. Please only respond if you have read the book and can give me a critique of its contents from a position of firsthand knowlege.

Thanks in advance!
Tom

I haven't read it, but for $7, how far wrong can you go? It may open your mind to something you've never considered, and you've had a cheap bit of education. Or you may hate it, and throw the book away. In that case, you haven't lost anything more than the cost of a couple of cups of coffee from Starbucks. Either way - I say, go for it.

I read it twice. it's an amazing book, the one by Barna and Viola. however, people who are wedded to their church traditions will be threatened by it and will oppose it. but it has great endorsements by historians and there's a lot of debates that you can read where the authors answer questions and objections. it's on the book website PaganChrisianity . org
