Here's my deal. I am making my own wedding invitations and I found some scrapbook paper that I LOVE! The only problem is that I can't find it in the quantity I need (50 12x12 sheets). I called the manufacturer and they suggested that I find a local scrapbook store that will order it wholesale for me. I have called the local places and everyone seems to be too busy to even take my phone call. Is there anyone who can help me with this? Or any advice on how to order scrapbook paper wholesale? Any advice will help!

I am surprised that your local stores won't help you out - how frustrating. Depending on the brand of the paper, you should be able to find another store that can order it for you. I have special ordered paper in bulk from http://www.scrapbook.com before, they might be able to help.

Even if you can get a wholesale ID from your county, the paper manufacturer may have a minimum order that would make it impractical for you to buy from them.

I would check for stores that are just outside of your area. Most scrapbook stores are very friendly, and should be willing to help you out. Search online for a store that looks good, and then contact the owner to see if she's willing to help. Even if the store won't sell it to you for a complete wholesale price, you will likely be able to get a significant discount, since you are purchasing an entire package of paper.

I think it was a mistake for them to advise you to ask for a wholesale price. Those stores need to make their money.

You could figure out what brand it is and call them directly. Don't email, and don't take NO from someone who can't give you YES in the first place! You may not get a wholesale price, but at least you'll get the quantity you need.

Getting a wholesaler or reseller number when you're not going into business is illegal.
