Its hit or miss , my first daughter was born with no hair just a light fuzz and know has very thick hair our second was born with thick black hair and now its thinned out considerably and is a light blond. The best indicator would be yourself and your husband do you have thick or thin hair , light or dark

In general a newborns infant hair does shed although some of it will stay and his new hair will grow in....although I have seen some babies who dont shed any infant hair..it is much more common for them to lose it..
both my sons were born with full heads of black hair...it did fall out and they got their normal hair...one is a dishwater blonde, the other is a dark brown

Babies usually do lose some hair, but most likely he won't lose it all. My daughter was born with a ton of hair and only lost a little of it. It was black when she was born, but has lightened up significantly. She's almost 2 now.

Most babies (especially black babies) are born with a headful of hair, but as they get older they lose it. Then by the age 1 or 2, it starts growing again.
(I'm black so I am not trying to be offensive to anyone)

The hair they are born with will gradually fall out and new hair will replace it. He might get a new hair color and it might be thin or thick when it regrows. There is no way to tell.

Most of it will fall out -- usually what stays is the "fringe" at the bottom of the head near the neckline. But after that babies usually grow in hair that is much thicker.

It is all in the genes. Is the baby's father full of hair now?
The father's hairline can give you an idea of how it will turn out.
Read about baby hair loss, which is natural, btw.

Most of it will fall off but the hairline should remain the same. the ear hair and back hair will go away...until he's about 30 yrs old...then its back again!
