radiation is actually the smallest form of matter
due to it speed its gravity influences other matter multiply times in the same instance giving it the illusion of being a wave
the smaller the mass of the radiation the bigger the frequency because it is influenced more by the matter around it
the larger the mass of the radiation the longer the illusion of a wave length because it influences the matter around it more
radiation is a result of deterioration of sub atomic particles and atomic particles
it travels in a wave like pattern due to the attraction of electron pulling it in one direction but when the electron moves to the far side of the protons the protons push it away
this is also why its acceleration changes depending on the medium it is travelling through
radiation also has the ability to cause subatomic and atomic particles to become unbalanced(leading to more radiation) if the electrons are unable to obtain a higher orbital path to compensate for the radiations gravity
this is my theory on radiation and is not considered common believe so if the question is for school choose an answer that is more commonly believed (which would be a)
(currently working on my 2 forces theories)
