In fact, I have always been fascinated that the "adult entertainment industry" ("adult" -- what an oxymoron!) has often been on the forefront of new technological advances in communication. Whether it was moving pictures, color film, videotape, Internet, Webcams... Despite what you or I or others may think, it's always interesting to see how porn adapts and thrives with new technology.
As for the other part of your question, I'm reminded of a funny little saying my grandmother always used to impart: "Get your hands out of your pockets, you dirty, filthy thing!"

I'm all for that tax,while we're at it ,let's legalise prostitution and make them pay taxes.
Put a 25 cent tax on condoms and lubricant.
Hell,sex is the only activity they don't tax and everybody does it.

You may be on to something. Since liberals support all things immoral and higher taxes, let's raise taxes on all of the immoral things that liberals support. Pornography and abortion could get higher taxes, then we could legalize drugs and prostitution, and then tax those. Finally, we could allow gay marriage, and then tax the heck out of that. We could even tax butt plugs, interior decorating and AIDS treatment, and whatever else gays spend money on.
