When you get your ears pierced, they will shoot a starter earring into your ear. It has a very sharp point to go through the ear lobe easier, and its a bit thicker than a regular earring. You will need to wear that for several weeks until your ear has healed completely. Then you can switch to regular earrings.

When you get your ears pierced, they use posts. Those are earings with a point on them to pierce through your ears easily. They leave them in until your ears have healed. Then you can put in the pretty earings that you purchased.

most places when you get your ears pierced just put the earrings right in, instead of piercing them then puting in earrings. I would just wait and get the ones they give you. You only have to keep them in for 6 weeks. Waiting isn't that bad.

Where are you getting your ears pierced?

It probably depends on what your earrings are made of and what style. If they aren't studs and not gold they probbaly won't do it. They usually want you to get the gold studs put in and leave them for a few weeks before changing them to new earings, but you could probably do the switch after a few weeks as long as you can still find the holes once you remove the studs.

they do give you earrings, and recommend that you keep them in for a few weeks, before switching to a different style. The ones they give you have a larger post, so that the hole doesn't close up as easily as it would with a smaller post or hook.

ya they just give you an earing because you have to keep one in your ears so the holes wont close. but you can use your earings.
