The Rocky series= was a cool collection of films bar the last one! There was absolute no reason for this being made and to see Stalone as old as he is trying to fight...hmmmm for me it was a money spinner and was a waste of time!

The Lord of the Rings series= this was a well put together collection. It was not as good as the books but the all round special effects of this film were awsome. Unlike most films that have more than one in the series there is a bad one, for this collection they were all masterful and deserve all the praise they got!

Forrest Gump- One of the best ever written script and story for a long time! This film was pure class and has always been on of the greatest films of all time! Forest Gump relates to alot of people's lives in the world today and has a secret place in my heart too. This film could not have been better casted neither! Tom Hanks was so suited for the role he played and is still recognised for his acting skills today!

Casino Royale- hmm well all I can say is James Bond goes to hollywood! Reuind my visions of what have been the greatest written films of all time! James bond was casted poorly and as for allowing hollywood to touch this British Film! BAD IDEA!

Jurassic Park- WOW Loved everyone of them I truely did! Great childhood films!

Gladiator- One of my fav's. The story casting and everything about this film was great! I loved every minute of it from beggining to end!

Troy- Cannot say....have yet to see this film!

Rocky - The first film was memorable, but all the sequels were worthless, and unnecessary.

Lord of the Rings - All three film were magnificent, and will always be well loved, and cherished.

Forrest Gump - I didn't care for it. I didn't buy into Tom Hanks character, and the story wasn't focused. I'm not sure what the attraction is for some people to this film, but it's got a solid fan base. I thought that Tim Burton directed a film that had a similar tone, and feel, called "Big Fish", that was much better.

Casino Royale - I'm not a James Bond fan, so I never saw it. I've heard it's one of the better in the series however.

Jurassic Park - This is Spielbergs most overrated film, by far. It's all about the special effects, and nothing else. The performances of the cast are mediocre, and the screenplay is ridiculous. Still, it's better then the second film in the series, that was even worse.

Gladiator - Mixed emotions on this one. The story is one that has been told so many times before, and lacks originality. Still, the performances are good, the time and place are very well drawn, and the battle scenes are some of the best ever put on film. I would recommend it, but I'm not as fanatical about it as some people are. I did like it better then Braveheart, however. I'm not a big Mel Gibson guy.

Troy - I REALLY wanted to like this movie, but it fell way short of greatness, and barely managed to grab any Oscar nominations. I think the film lacks a "heart", and while well mounted, never is involving emotionally, as it should be. Still, it has many strong points, and the fight scene between Bana and Pitt, is pretty memorable.

The Rocky series - Rocky was my favourite film before I could even walk, I used to watch it every day till I was about six. Even now I still love the film, the dialogue is brilliant and the acting is well above average. I'm not a big fan of Sly but his performance as Rocky is superb. I respect Stallone for writing the script. What could have been a sub standard film (how many times have we seen this type of story rehashed) is transformed into something special by his passion to become a star. Unfortunately after Rocky II the films started to become more contrived and really not worth the effort of watching them.

The Lord of the Rings series - I've been a fan of Peter Jackson for some time. I love the twisted humour in 'Bad Taste' and 'Meet the Feebles' and 'Heavenly Creatures' is one of my favourite films. Don't get me wrong I think they're great films but I just can't watch the LOTR trilogy anymore. The whole time I'm watching one of them I'm just thinking to myself "hurry up, get to the good bits". To me the greatest achievement of these films is that they come from such devastatingly boring source material. I read the LOTR books after seeing the first movie and couldn't believe how tedious they are. It's like reading a history text book for fun.
Forrest Gump - good film but so overrated. It's just so pointless.

Casino Royale - the best Bond film.

Jurassic Park - big dinosaurs, what's not to like.

Gladiator - brilliantly directed, great fight sequences, good performances (Oliver Reed's finest, Richard Harris is superb and Joaquin Phoenix is a great villain). I saw this in the cinema and was blown away by the visuals.

Troy - it's ok.
