A co-worker of mine is pregnant and due in November. She was wondering what a unique and fun gift to give her husband for his "first year" as a father. Any ideas?

An ultrasound picture in a frame that says "miracle in the making" or "I love Daddy." Or baby clothes that say "I love Daddy" or Daddy's little....whatever. He'll probably get the warm fuzzies...I know my hubby did!

If your friend is not due until November, then I'd suggest as a Father's Day gift a Labor Coach Kit. Include it in:

a stopwatch (to time contractions)
an address book (with all the important #s to call -- doctor, hospital, in laws, parents)
a water bottle (to offer the mom to be or to sip himself)
a wash cloth (to wipe off the sweaty laboring brow of the mom)
a stress ball (for Coach to give the laboring mom after she's squeezed his hand to death)
a change purse full of quarters (for the meter if the hospital doesn't have parking, for the vending machine so Coach can also get something to eat to keep his energy up)
a bottle of hand sanitizer
a T-shirt that says Coach on it (easily found at sports stores or just have one lettered at a T-shirt seller's)
a disposable camera (for those important first shots)

Put it all in a sports-style duffle bag, so that Dad can reuse the bag going to the gym if he wishes -- or he can use it as his guy-style diaper bag!

A professional picture of her pregnant in a nice frame. My sister in-law did this for my brother. He was speachless.

I think this is a really cute idea--you could make it at home for very low cost as well! http://www.cookiepots.com/Daddys%20Toolbelt.htm
