Daddy long legs have eight legs. However, they are NOT true spiders! Like spiders, they are in the class Arachnida. However, true spiders are in the order Araneae, and daddy long legs are in the order Opiliones. The difference is that true spiders have two body segments, while daddy long legs have only one.
