If it's a union project or low budget you may get anywhere from lunch to $309 but honestly I doubt you'd be anywhere near the top end of that scale for an indie film. Most typical is $40-50 for 8 hours. It depends on the union status of the film and your union status ... is it a SAG indie or SAG waiver, Are you union (SAG, SEG, AFTRA)? Most of the time, for a true indie you don't get paid at all as an extra. You may get lunch, possibly a copy of the finished film and credit if your part is featured. The top pay usually includes hours of overtime and many extra things such as wardrobe issues, the use of your car, etc.

I suggest you talk to your agent about this if you have one or read over the casting notice to see if pay is indicated there and/or talk to the producer to see if there is pay involved. If you have questions about whether or not you are going to do the project ask your questions quick because people are now assuming that you are on board and are counting on you to be on set when shooting begins. If you haven't done any films before, it could be good experience for you pay or no pay. If you have, you may want to see if your time is better spent looking for something else, but give the production team the courtesy of a quick reply so they can find a replacement.

Central Casting pays minimum wage X 8hrs plus any bumps or extras you may get for excess travel, costumes, etc. (This is for non-union) If it's an independent that is not casting thru an agency, you probably wont get paid. Ask for a copy of the finished product to be sent to you though, they may at least do that and will probably feed you for the day.

It depends on the film but most of the time it's like 50 per day.

$0.

That's what I got. It was a "privilege" to be in it.
