well it would be because when they were growing up certain idiotic males didnt accept them and then they were forced to hang around girls. now when ur doing that for most of ur life ur going to pick up girl-like behaviours and act feminine. its like if a girl hangs around guys all her life she is certain to be more masculine than the girl who loves slumber parties and bitching about the girl infront of her

You mean why are some gay men feminine? Well, some scientists found that gay men have a similar shaped brain than heterosexual women. That might explain some of it. Like you said, some gay guys could easily pass as your typical heterosexual male. There are many gay men who are gay but not feminine, so you wouldn't even know that they're gay. The feminine ones tend to stand out.

To break the question down a bit:

No its not generally considered attractive by gay men to be a flaming queen.

A gay man does not have to have poor self esteem to be a flaming queen, gay men's gender characteristics fall on a range rather than one or two "types" (like feminine straight female or masculine straight male) flaming queens are in the more feminine extreme of that range.

People act differently.
How boring the world would be if we all acted, talked, and walked the same way.

I know hundreds, if not thousands, of gay men. I could point to perhaps ten that act as you describe. The majority do not.

Why is this an obsession for you?
See, we can answer even silly questions without attacking someone.

p.s. Why do you wear make-up? Same reason.

There are very few guys that I know personally that act like Jack (some even worse.) You make it sound like a high majority of guys are like that. I don't know why some guys act like that. I guess the same reason why some heterosexual men cry and act all sensitive. Or why some heterosexual girls act all big and bad and dress all tom-boyish.

If I may quote from the great writer - Mel Brooks.

No matter what you do on the stage
Keep it light, keep it bright, keep it gay!
Whether it's murder, mayhem or rage
Don't complain, it's a pain
Keep it gay!
People want laughter when they see a show
The last thing they're after's a litany of woe
A happy ending will pep up your play...
Oedipus won't bomb...
If he winds up with Mom!
Keep it gay!
Keep it gay...
Keep it gay!

[BTW - don't think of me in the gay stereotype of liking showtunes. I just happen to be a big Mel Brooks fan. Otherwise I don't know many showtunes].

From what I know of them, it's not an "act" as you call it. It's just part of their personality. Why do you do the things YOU do? Whatever it may be. I'm sure there are people in this life who find YOU perplexing as well. You are only "acting" how you feel. So are they.

We are all annoyed by something aren't we? Personally, if I wanted to date someone that feminine I would date a woman. But as has been said, they are just being who they are, and how can I fault them for that?

I don't have a problem with how anyone acts. Some people are more flamboyant with theirs and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I love people who are themselves and if that is who they are then great!!!

LOL, I know, queeny gays really annoy the crap out of me. There is this one queen that works out at my gym and I just want to hit him sometimes for the way he acts, dancing around. People like that only perpetuate the stereotype of gay men. Not all of us are like that thank God.
