What's the difference between a Poll and a Survey?

a Poll is the action of checking the status of an input line, sensor, or memory location to see if a particular external event has been registered. and a Survey means a general or comprehensive view of anything.

A poll has a rating or %. A survey is not as scientific. It's more opinionated. The two are very close in meaning however.

A pole is a long cylindrical object, often 10 feet. A survey is an assessment of land, often more than 10 feet.

i think poll is when you have to choose between stuff but survey they just ask you your opinion on something.

poll- you have to make a choice between two or more options that are given

survey- you are asked a question and you chose how to answer
