Do you think the Denver Broncos should have made the playoffs instead of the Kansas City Chefs? Not that I didn't enjoy Peyton Manning getting his a** picked off twice by Ty Law (a former Patriot), I just thought that Jay Cutler and the Denver Broncos would have put up a much better fight. The Kansas City Chiefs coaching staff totally screwed up. They should have started backup quarterback Damon Huard (98.0 rating) and not the injured Trent Green (74.1 rating). Since the Chiefs didn't do this, they should have just forfeited their seat to the Broncos. We all know that Manning is just a LUCKY DUCK, not having to face the superior quarterback.

Just to let everyone know, I am a huge fun of the San Diego Charges and New Orleans Saints.

Peyton Manning sucks not just because he avoided having to face Damon Huard, but he also lucked out on facing the San Diego Chargers. If only the standings had been a little different, maybe Peyton Manning would have had to face both the Patriots and Chargers, eventually running out of gas somewhere. Not that the Ravens do not have great defense, but the Chargers just execute much better offensively. Philip Rivers (92.0 rating) would have slapped Peyton Manning like a little b***h, just like Chad Pennington did in 2003, embarrassing the Colts 41-0. Not only do the Chargers have a passing game, they have a great running game as well. LaDainian Tomlinson would have burned out the defense of the Indianapolis Colts. It would have been very similar to what Chauncey Billups did to Gary Payton in 2004. Just to let everyone know, my Chargers handed the Colts their first lost in the 2005-2006 season, and Manning could not stop crying about it.

Winning the Super Bowl was also a free ride for Peyton Manning. It is sad that the New Orleans Saints did not make it to the Super Bowl. Drew Brees is a great quarterback, whereas Rex Grossman is an absolute reject. The Chicago Bears have great defense like the Baltimore Ravens, but they lacked a legitimate quarterback. Having no quarterback in the NFL is like having no point guard in the NBA. How valuable do you think Mike D’Antoni and Phoenix Suns are without Steve Nash? My point is that Peyton Manning lucked out on facing Drew Brees, as he lucked out on facing either Jay Cutler or Damon Huard, and Philip Rivers. Recalling Drew Brees, he helped end the Colts 13-0 perfect season in the RCA (which will never be Sony) Dome in his last season with the Chargers. In the 16 games played in the 2006-2007 regular season, Brees posted a 96.2 quarterback rating with 26 touchdown passes and 4,418 yards.

The other reason those quarterbacks (either Damon Huard or Jay Cutler, Philip Rivers, and Drew Brees) would have been a real challenge is that Peyton Manning has struggled in the past against star quarterbacks younger than him. For instance, Tony Romo (95.1 rating) beat Peyton Manning during the regular season. Big Ben had defeated Manning during the 2006 Division round. As long as Manning’s opponents are healthy (not like Green and McNair) and legitimate (not like Grossman), Manning is in trouble.

The only team I give credit for actually challenging the Colts in the playoffs are the New England Patriots. As I said, Tom Brady will always be the man.

I defitnly wouldn't say free ticket. The KC game was an easy win. Huard wouldn't do that much better. KC was mainly trying to get the ball the LJ the entire game and it didn't work but they kept trying. And I don't think Damon Huard can be called "Superior." Manning faced Tom Brady, would is defitnly superior, and he beat him. Jay Cutler can't be called Superior either. The Colts beat the Broncos earlier this season, they probably could do it again, especially since the Broncos wouldn't be able to run all over them this time and we wouldn't be at Mile High. And Baltimore was no push over. They have the best defense in the NFL! Jamal Lewis wasn't very good, but he was a big pounding back facing the smaller Colts defenders and we shut him down. McNair didn't have any gas left in the tank so we beat him easily. Our offense did enough in that game to win. And how is Manning a lucky duck to beat the Patriots in the AFC Championship game? He played the second half perfectly after a shaky first half. He worked the clock, everything was clicking, he was making good throws, Addai and Rhodes were finding holes, and the WRs were getting open. I wouldn't call him a lucky duck. The Colts probably would have trouble against the Chargers, since they have LT. The Colts would've scored around 20 points and who knows how well LT would've done.

He faced the "superior quarterback" when the Colts faced Tom Brady and the New England Pats. The Colts are a "superior football team" when Bob Sanders plays D. It did not matter who the opponent was as the much maligned Colts defense rose to the challenge in the playoffs. The Defense had more to do with winning the Super Bowl than did Peyton Manning. He was indeed a "lucky duck" to have Bob and the boys stopping the run.

Are you sure that you don't have any more additional comments to make??

I wouldn't say that Manning had a "free ride" to the Championship. He struggled against the Chiefs and the Ravens and the Colts barely won both of those games. He turned it on against the Patriots when the Colts needed him most. He played a good Superbowl too...not great, but good. Grossman might suck, but the Bears defense is killer and that Superbowl was no walk in the park by any means.

Should Denver had made the playoffs instead of the Chiefs? NO...they could have made it, but failed to win their last game. They only had to win 1 out of their last 3 games and couldn't do it. San Deigo is a great team, but they also lost to a great team...The Patriots. You are off your rocker if you think Damon Huard, Jay Cutler, or Phillip Rivers are better than Peyton Manning. Name one QB that has ever had more control over his offense than Manning. I am not that big of a Manning fan, but I think when it's all said and done he will go down as the greatest QB of all time.

I wouldn't say they had a free ride. No playoff run through the AFC is a free ride. I totally agree with you on the fact that the Chiefs coaching staff blew that game. Not just for the fact that Green shouldn't have been in, but because they told everybody in the country what they were going to run on offense and then were surprised when the Colts stopped it dead. Then, in a genius move, they didn't make any adjustments at all. The Colts could have been done right there if the Chiefs offense was capable of moving the ball even a little.

Alright.... I'm gonna be well mannered right here! Tom Brady and the Pats are an first rate soccer group. They have satisfactory teaching, satisfactory gamers ect. But you're citing whatever that occurred decades in the past. I imply if I desired to I might get on right here and deliver up how the Colts gained the final three conferences among those two groups. Including a forty one - 20 Thumping in Foxborro on November fifth 2006! This is gonna be a satisfactory recreation! I don't appreciate why any one will have to simply count on that the Pats are gonna win. The Colts security has extensively increased! When the Colts misplaced the ones video games in New England their security used to be in quite of a rebuilding mode. Now they have got a organization of men that may make performs! I uncover it intriguing that for the reason that Marlin Jackson, Kelvin Hayden and Bob Sanders had been getting alot of gambling time, the patriots have no longer gained a unmarried recreation in opposition to them! That tells me that this new organization men is doing whatever! Don't you feel? I imply the security has went from practically lifeless final within the league to #three within the league! On most sensible of that, #a million in opposition to the go!

First I would not consider the Colts' playoff schedule a "free ride". Remember, in the second round they had to play the Baltimore Ravens, which had the arguably the best defense in the League last year. And as the title of your question states by implication, the Patriots were a major obstacle to the Colts.

As for the Broncos putting up a better fight, let's face it, if they had put up a better fight in the regular season they would have been in the playoffs.

I don't believe it was a free ride and I am a Patriots fan. I mean, it was Peyton's year and I congradulate him for winning the big game. The Colts would have beaten Denver as well. You can't say well if Peyton played this team & not another, they would have lost. Face it, your team probably didn't make the play-offs because they suck. The Chiefs would have lost whoever was playing quartback because all football fans should know that when it comes to the play-offs, the Chiefs pull a heimlich manuever-----THEY CHOKE!!!!!!!!! Congrats to Peyton Manning but next year watch out again for Tom Brady & the Pats

He played the frekin Cheifs who have no defense and barely any offense and they played the Ravens who just totaly have NO offense whatsoever. I am a Pats fan and am not whining or anything because I know that the Pats will kick the Colts *** when the time comes next year, I am just saying look at the 2 teams the Colts had to go through before they got to the Pats. The Pats played one easy game, the jets and then they played the 14-2 Chargers with both an offense and defense. Manning will NEVER get a ring again because of that new Patriots Offense and building defense with MAD SKILL!! GO Patriots and Tom Brady, dont be discouraged!!!

Obviously, you don't like Peyton. You are entitled to your feelings, but that is something that I have observed about you. He won, he has a Super Bowl ring, and 5 years and more from now most people won't even think to question his abilities. They will see his numbers, his ring (or rings, depending on the future), his durability. Bottom-line, no Peyton did not have a free ticket. This is the NFL. The NFL. You're degrading the very game that you are a fan of when you say that. If he had a free ticket then every team had a free ticket because their all in one league. Peace....
