I really, reeeeally wanted some friends growing up. But all I got was a stuffed Kirby doll at my 3 year old christmas. My mom said, "loooooks like someone has a new friend!!!". It was the only friend I had growing up on my parents cattle farm until I was 17. Now I'm just kind of'a weirdo with no friends, a loner artist that talks to himself.

I always wanted to go to a Red Sox game at Fenway. I grew up 45 minutes from Beantown, and was determined to be the first female pitcher for the Sox. My father always worked and wasn’t really into watching sports and my Mom wasn’t into sports unless I was playing them so…. they never took me to a game. I still hold it over their heads, and I’m 32. I’m hoping someday they will get it. I’ve been to them now on my own, but it’s not the same as it would have been when I was 10.

My father back. He died of cancer when I was 4 and obviously my Mother couldn't 'get' him for me. We did not get many things as my Mother was a young widow of 36 with 5 children but we always had enough to eat and lots of love. So, guess I never really wanted for anything! How could I want when she worked like a mule to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads.

I really wanted fort Apache. My nose would be pressed up against the window pain. I wasn't one of those kids who cried complained or had any public display.

I did call my Mom over to show it to her. She explained that we couldn't afford it. It was 1952 . Fort Apache was selling for $4.79. We were poor. I would ask my Mom if I could just look at it once in a while.

My Dad was a gambler , that Christmas, he did good.

My whole family was around my bed Christmas morning , waiting for me to get up. Not only did I get Fort Apache, but what seemed to me half the store.

It was my bests Christmas ever.

A baby sister. I got one when I was 20, after dealing with 2 little brothers for years. Ugh! And now they both live next door to me! I can't get rid of 'em!

I wanted a private jet; I know it is ridiculous to want that, yet I did, and as a child I use to think of all the places I could travel if I had that private jet. Nobody got me one :(
