I think they like questions that take a little more thought and time and explain WHY yes or no.

I suppose alot of people want more than a simple yes no to there question. one word doesn't give much detail

yes or no is not a descriptive answer...depending on what the question was. Usually, in most cases, thats not what they wre looking for...

Maybe they don't think you're giving enough information? Sometimes yes or no is all that's required.
