My sister is going through some financial hardships right now...she has a sesame street cookie tin copyright 1979, muppets incorporated...it's a christmas scene. I am trying to sell it for her so she can have a little $, can you help me find a price for this item, or do you know a site or something I can go to...it would help sooooooo much, as I can't find even a general estimate, I've been to ebay (which is where I'll probably sell it) and searched the web from everything from collectible tins - to - copyright 1979 sesame street cookie tin. Please help!

I found one c1930s for $325 (Mickey Mouse) http://www.huxtins.com/TINS/h41_tin.shtml
Of course, that's a much older tin. And Mickey is possibly more collectible than Sesame Street. Have you checked books at your local library? Here are a couple that might help:

Of course, your price is also determined by how much it is desired ~ a collector could be looking for that very tin and be willing to pay top dollar for it, or there may be noone looking for a tin like yours at all. . .
Best of luck!

I have a feeling that it's not going to be worth any more than its original cost. Sorry.
