is 19 wks to early to tell the sex of you baby?

my dr. wants to do the sonogram at week 19 is that to early, should i reschedule it till about week 22 to make sure we can tell what were having or will it be clear at 19wks?

well first off, congrats! It is soo exciting, I am 18 weeks pregnant and my ultrasound is scheduled for 19 weeks and 6 days. To answer your question, the sexual organs are already quite developed, and absolutely ready for spotting them at 19 weeks. My friend just found out she was having a boy and she is 17 weeks. I would not re-schedule, the doctor knows what they are doing. But, if you want , ask if there is anything extra you can do, like drink alot of water, before the ultrasound so they can see clearer.

I am having a gender scan in 10 days, I will be 16-5 weeks then, so 19 weeks should be fine.

Nope, we found out the sex of our little girl at exactly 19 weeks :)

I found out my child's gender at 16 weeks. It all depends on how the baby is positioned so they can get a good look at "the goods". Don't be disappointed if they cannot get a good look---because sometimes the baby doesn't cooperate. Hopefully, you will find out. Good luck!

it will be fine, both my boys were sexed before 19 weeks, one at 18 one at 15

im 17 weeks and im going to my ultrasound at 19 weeks.

We found out with my daughter at 17 weeks. She is our third baby.
They were right!
